Wow! I am truly excited this morning! I woke up to several delightful comments from the amazingly talented, Alyce Keegan, of the brand new Kit and Clowder Ning Community ... But not just that!!! My cell phone case with Kimono Marci stamped on it was featured on her home page! I mean can you believe that? Can you believe it? What an honor! Here is a picture of how it looked ...

Can you see the photo to the left of my case? I mean that's talent! And there's my little case featured right along side of it! Not that I believe I'm talented but I might start believing I'm a little creative!

This is what Alyce commented on my case:

"WOW! What a cool idea!! I would love to feature this technique by you :) x"

I feel like I'm in high school again and one of the cool kids likes me! Truly, I am honored!

La La Land Crafts Castle Shadowbox

Hi everyone! I'm super excited about this next project! I used La La Land Crafts Castle, Dragon, Sassy Princess and several of their dies to complete my castle!

First, I colored my images with my Copic markers. Then I assembled and painted the base with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and Martha Stewart's Wild Blueberry Acrylic paint.

Next, I sprayed the castle pieces with Tattered Angels Chalkboard in Cornflower and Perfect Pearls Mist perfect pearl. Once they were dry, I used my Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive to glue them together.

Next, I added Recollections Rhinestone Stickers across the top. Then I chose my background paper. It was a tough choice! I knew I wanted to use Prima Marketings Fairy Flora collection ... but all the papers are so pretty I had a hard time deciding! In the end I used a piece called Garden Party. I used Mod Podge Matte Paper to adhere the paper to the back.

After that I cut the Heart Banner die, the Crown die and the Butterfly die... All from La La Land Crafts.

Once I made up my mind on colors and papers, it all came together very quickly! I love this little castle and I hope you do too!

iPhone 5 Cover

I've had this idea for awhile now and finally made it happen today! I used La La Land Crafts Kimono Marci with Ranger's Archival Ink and stamped ... So easy and so cute!

Now Marci can go with me wherever I go!

Steampunk Marci Shadowbox

I won an amazing giveaway from La La Land Crafts! I can't tell you how excited I was! It included dies, stamps and papers, which I used in this shadowbox ...

started by gluing the base together. Then I mod podged a sheet of 6x6 paper from Kaisercrafts Up, Up and Away collection to the back. I painted the frame using My Studio Robins Egg Blue. Then I painted the outer portion using Martha Stewarts Satin Lake Fog and Gray Wolf. The blue corners are Martha's Wild Blueberry.

I heat embossed the Joy Crafts butterflies with American Crafts Zing Chestnut embossing powder. I added Martha Stewart Brownstone Glitter paint to some of the gears. I finally got to use my Stampendous Frantage Silver Crushed Glass Glitter! Yay!!!

I also colored some go the gears and cogs with my Copic markers ... This came together very quickly and was a lot of fun to put together!

Valentine's Day Card for my Daughter

As I mentioned, my daughter, Jenna, is a huge Alice in Wonderland fan! So, in my last post I shared a shadow box I made her featuring Marci in Wonderland and Mad Hatter Luka. Today, I'm bringing Marci Queen of Hearts out to play. Even though the Shadowbox and my card are completely different, I hope they coordinate ...

Here is my card ...

I started with a card blank from American Crafts. Then I added a black embossed layer. I don't think you can see it very well but I used an Anna Griffin embossing folder. Then I layered the two pieces of My Minds Eye Paper and heat embossed Happy Valentine's Day with Whispers Opaque Black Embossing Powder.

Next up is the adorable Marci in Wonderland stamp from La La Land Crafts. I colored her with my Copic markers as follows: skin E00, E21, R20 ... Hair E17 and E18, reds R35, 37 and 39, Grays N0 and N1 and gold Y23 ... I did add quite a bit of Wink of Stella but I don't think you can really see it in the photos.

I added black ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, three roses I cut using La La Land Crafts dies and three black pearls from Martha Stewart!

On the inside of my card I added a pretty Key brad and stamped Happy Valentine's Day with my Judikins stamp and Versamark ink, followed by Zing Glitter Finish Embossing Powrder. I signed it with a black Sakua Gelly Roll pen ...

That's it! It's ready to go! And on time even! Lol I'm such a procrastinator!

Thank you for stopping by ...

Marci in Wonderland Valentines Day Sweetheart Shadowbox

Hi again! I made an other shadowbox! This one is for my daughter, Jenna ... She has always been a huge Alice in Wonderland fan so I thought this was just perfect for her :)

I started by gluing the frame together and then painted it with FolkArt Blue Pearl Metallic acrylic paint. On the hearts across the top I put huge amounts of Martha Stewarts Sugar Cube Glitter acrylic paint. I mod podged a 6x6 paper from Prima Marketings Firefly collection to the base. I've been saving that paper for a "special occasion" so I'm glad I finally used it! lol

While all that was drying, I colored up Marci and my very first Luka! On Marci I used E00, E21 and R11 on her face. Her hair is E30 and E53. Marci's dress is colored in B32,  B34 and C00.

On Luka I used E00, E21 and R11 for his face. His hair is E42 and E53. His adorable suit is colored in BV00, BV04, BG11, BG15, YG13 and YG17.

I painted the heart in the center and cut two Heart Doilys from La La Land Crafts. I also used LLLC's Rolled Flower dies, the Heart Border dies and the Leaf dies ... Sorry, I can't remember the exact names. I topped it off with one of LLLC's adorable butterflies!

Well, that's it! I hope she likes it! I hope it gets to California in time with all the crazy weather we've been having!

Valentines Day Sweetheart Shadobox

This is a Shadowbox I just finished! It is from, my favorite, La La Land Crafts!

I started by coloring Sassy Princess Marci with my Copic markers. I used E00, E21 and R11 for her skin. Her hair uses E30, E31 and just a little E34. The pinks in her dress are R81, R83 and R85 ... The browns are the beautiful E70, E71, E74 and E77.

First, I glued the frame together with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. Then I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper from My Minds Eye Kiss and tell collection. My next step was so much fun! I painted the Shadowbox with Martha Stewart Acrylic paints. I used Pink Taffeta, Holly Berry and Antique Silver. I also used her brushes, which make the paint glide on easily.

The hearts in the middle are a gorgeous new die from La La Land Crafts. I also used the brand new Scalloped Banner from LLLC. The little hearts on the banner are from Prima Say It In Crystals. The flowers are Sherwood flowers also from Prima Marketing.

I really enjoyed making this shadow box! I think it is going to my daughter, Jenna. I will be making another one for my Mom asap :)

I hope you like it!

This is a shadow box I made for my daughter. I actually made two! (One for my mom...) I can't take credit for how lovely it is because it is a copy of the very talented Victoria of Vixx Handmade cards!

I used papers from Bo Bunny's Serenity collection. The Shadowbox is from La La Land Crafts.

The image is a digi stamp (Marci with Fan) also from La La Land crafts. I enjoyed assembling the Shadowbox and painting it with acrylic paint ... Marci is colored with Copic markers.

So exciting!

My Valentines Day card was featured on the blog! Here is a link to the post:

Here is a picture of my card ...

Noelle Martin is the owner of Quick Creations and she is wonderful to work with ... I love buying from her store and she ships super quick!

Konnichiwa Thank You Card

This is a Thank You card I made for my daughter. She is a thoughtful and caring person ... She's truly amazing :)

This card features all my favorite things ... La La Land Crafts! The stamp, Marci with Fan, the flower dies and the bridge die are all from LLLC! I colored Marci with my Copic markers and picked some pretty papers and it all came together easy peesy!

I hope she likes the card :)

New Baby Card!

My sweet daughter had my very first grandchild on Christmas Eve! A beautiful baby girl! This is the card I made my for my daughter :)

I used a Kraft card base with pretty papers from My Minds Eye. I hand dyed the ribbon using Spray Mist. I used Spellbinders for the Kraft oval. The flowers are from Prima ... They really are my favorite ... They have just enough sparkle? The three little pearls on the bottom right are also from Prima ...

The image is from Wee Stamps. I thought it was just perfect! I colored it with my Copic markers and finished it off with Glossy Accents. I added Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter on  the ruffle on the pram.

I just mailed it to California today! I hope she likes it!
