Engagement Card

Well it has been awhile since I've posted. We've been super busy between our trip to California, Hurricane Irene and starting school! My daughter, Jaimie, and I went to visit my older daughter, Jenna, in San Diego in August. She recently got engaged and his family had an extravagant party for Jenna and their son, Maz. It was a beautiful party! We got the last flight home before the hurricane and at 3 a.m. went to the grocery store for supplies because I knew there was nothing fresh in the house to eat and certainly no extra batteries, water etc. for a hurricane! Can I just tell you something? The place looked like it had been ransacked! The shelves were bare and the place was a mess! Luckily, we made it through the hurricane without too many troubles. We didn't have any flooding or damage and our power was on for the most part!

This is the card and envelope ...

In any event, this is the card that Jaimie and I made for the newly-engaged couple! We used the "heart" cut from Damask Decor, some Jolee stickers and some K & Company "Elegance" paper with coordinating border die cut and clear die cuts. I used heavy cardstock from The Paper Company as my card base. As always, I pop-dotted everything in sight lol and added Martha Stewart pearls ... I just love them! The envelope is from Bazzill Paper Co. I also used the Wedding collection stamps from Inkadinkadoo with StazOn Jet Black ink. I used my white Gelly Roll pen on the envelope and I used my Zig  2-Way Glue to adhere the clear die cuts on the card and envelope. I used my awesome ATG to adhere the Damask Decor cut to the card base ... and a gold pen on the inside :)
